Echo Tango, RTB, ETA 7 days

As i blog this, i'm less than 12 hours from the Final Exam of this series. yeah, that's right, 2nd year is soon to be OVER...

In a week, i shall be on that little red dot at the southern tip of malaysia, eating all the fried kway teow, ice kachang, orh lua, chendol, bak chor mee, laksa (the REAL stuff, with REAL cockles, not the watery chilli flavoured shit that passes for it here), yong tau hoo, chicken rice, mee siam, wanton mee and not forgetting my absolute favourite, KWAY CHAP....

Yes, KWAY CHAP, all that salty, soy sauce soaked pig's innards.....

This year has been eventful, meeting new people and all, and i feel that i've learnt a lot more technically over this year compared to last year.

In a way, i want to be home with my buddies, throwing back a coupla cold ones, chewing on a proper satay, with pineapple and not peanut butter in the sauce. On the other hand, i am reluctant to leave the vast expanse of this country that i've come to appreciate, if not love. i mean, the alcohol in OZ is cheap, the weather is agreeable and the people i've come in contact with are very much friendly and accomodating in a way singaporeans aren't. If only they knew how to prepare a proper meal.....

the more i think of it, the more i find that the singapore system just doesn't agree with me, i'm not trying to change the world (GOD FORBID), but i've experienced a society that agrees a lot more with my beliefs and to be frank, i've never felt more comfortable in my life, maybe it's the weather, or the laid back pace here, but i've always felt there was something missing when i was in s'pore....

Ah well, back to the books....
